The NTDA Directorate Team and Executive Officers of the Association were very sad to hear of the death of Findlay Ferguson Picken, aged 84, on Friday 25th September after a long struggle with Parkinson’s decease.
Findlay was a popular and well respected tyre industry professional who worked for companies such as Hereford Tyres and Batteries Ltd, Tyres (Scotland) Ltd, Gorrill’s Ltd, Foremost Tyre Services Ltd and National Tyres Service Ltd, to name but a few.
During his time at National Tyre Service Ltd, Findlay served on the Executive Council of the NTDA for almost 10 years and was elected as NTDA President in 1986.
In 1993 he was installed as an Honorary Life Member of the NTDA for outstanding services to the Association.
Our thoughts are with Findlay’s wife Jean and his family and friends.
