The National Tyre Distributors Association (NTDA) has become an official event partner for the inaugural Automechanika Birmingham exhibition to be held at the NEC from the 7th to the 9th June. The tyre industry’s principle retailer organisation will be promoting the value and uniqueness of the exhibition to its membership, with the association taking an on-going role beyond the first year as an event partner.
Automechanika Birmingham will feature a range of national and international companies, 550 in total, featuring services and equipment for the tyre trade. Key companies including Autogem, Bradbury Equipment, HELLA, Pro-Align, Rimstock, Tyre Bay Direct and Yokohama will all be taking stand space and featuring their latest products and services.
In addition, the organisers have scheduled a wide range of theatre presentations, 70 in total, on subjects that will be of considerable interest to tyre dealers. These include developments in automotive technology, business advice, skills and staff training, the rise of autonomous technology, safeguarding your business and shaping the workshop of the future. One of the key presentations will address the vexed issue of TPMS.
Commenting on the NTDA’s involvement in the exhibition, Stefan Hay, NTDA Director, said ”We are delighted to become an association partner in what, I think, will become a very important annual event for the tyre and related automotive aftermarket industries. I genuinely think that the time is right for an exhibition of this type at what is a very challenging period for the retail tyre industry. I am particularly excited about the extensive seminar programme and we will be urging our members to attend both the exhibition and selected seminar presentations.”
According to Prashant Chopra at Autogem Invicta Limited, who is also south east regional chairman of the NTDA, “For 20 years Automechanika Frankfurt has always been a key show for both the Autogem and Invicta brands. To have it now on our doorstep is fantastic news and it’s been a long time since we had a dedicated show for our sector of the industry. We are looking forward to not only presenting TPMS at the Aftermarket seminar theatre, but also to launching our new consumables catalogue, the new TPMS.FIT training programme, as well as our latest iteration of our market leading I-sensor TPMS solution amongst other developments on our stand.”
